When it comes to jewelry what you want to wear depends on the occasion. Sometimes for fancy events, such as cocktail parties, a larger ring or pair of statement earrings is appropriate and a great choice, but otherwise dainty jewelry is great for both informal and formal occasions.
Investing in jewelry can be very addictive and so in order to get more wear out of your pieces choosing smaller and more dainty jewelry pieces is a fantastic option.
One of the easiest pieces to wear every day is a ring. And stackable rings are a great choice to be able to change up your accessories subtly. So, where do you start?
Choosing your metals
The first thing that you will want to consider is the metal, or metals, that you want to wear. There are many options nowadays covering all color bases and price points. For example, a few of the more common options are yellow, white, or rose gold, silver and platinum.
There are also gold-plated options if you have a lower budget. However, these will deteriorate over time so it is always recommended to avoid these if you can.
The preference is up to you. Some people like to stick to one color throughout their ring stack, whereas others prepare to mix and match. Ideally, if you collect enough rings then you will have both options!
Choosing your stones
While simple rings are beautifully delicate, precious and semi-precious stones are a great way to add a bit of sparkle to your rings. This way you can add other colors, making your ring stack uniquely your own and as colorful as you desire.
A common trend now is to collect the birthstones of family members. This way the stack is very personal to you and holds a lot of meaning.
Alternatively, you may just wish to choose your favorite colors! The wide choice of gems and stones available means that you can collect an array of shades of the same color. For example, if you wanted stackable rings with the theme of pink stones, then you could choose pink sapphire, pink diamond, and morganite!
Choosing your size
Making sure that you choose the right size is very important. If your ring is too small then you run the risk of cutting off blood circulation to your finger and will not be able to remove your ring with ease. As fingers increase in size with age, this means that unfortunately, your ring may cause you problems in the future.
On the other hand, if your ring is too big you may lose it! This is not ideal, especially if you have chosen to invest a lot of money into a beautiful stack of rings.
Choosing ring pairings
How you choose to curate your ring stack is completely up to you! Of course, there are more traditional options such as a plain band alongside a diamond band. However, your choice of stackable rings is able to completely and entirely reflect your personality. If you love it – go for it!
