Good Training

If you saw an employee doing something unsafe and not following the training you have provided them with, you would say something. Depending on how bad the breach was, you might even have to take disciplinary action – in some cases, this could lead to dismissal. With that being the case, why would you not conversely acknowledge safe behavior? It’s actually important that you do.

By paying attention to what your team is doing and specifically mentioning people who are doing things exactly as they are meant to be, or at least making a note of it for an internal review, you will show that this behavior is what you are looking for, and it will encourage everyone to be aware of what they are doing. If you can reward personnel for this safe behavior as well – therefore spending some money on your business – this will encourage them even further.
