Reasons why AFCAT could be a great way to begin the career in the Air Force

Joining the Indian Armed forces is a dream for many. Many candidates wish to join the armed forces but aren’t aware of the exams and procedures to appear for one. 

The Indian Armed force is subdivided into three streams; Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.

To secure a job in any of the above, you can choose to appear for exams like NDA (National Defence Academy), CDSE (Combined Defence Services), AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test), MNS (Military Nursing Services) or INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test) depending upon your choice.

In case a candidate chooses to be in defence service through the Indian Air Force, he/she may decide to either crack NDA, CDSE or AFCAT. While NDA is examination after 10+2, AFCAT can be attempted after graduation.
